Mover Membership
There are many benefits of being a member of the IHM&W. The following is a list of both the benefits and plans for members in 2008 and beyond.
· Professional association adds credibility to the moving and storage industry within the state.
· The association works closely with the Department of Revenue to inform and consult state government on moving and storage issues.
· Publish a membership directory.
· Provides members with a blank tariff, approved by the Department of Revenue and can be used to file customized rates and provisions (we can provide this electronically as well).
· Annual convention with vendors, speakers and networking opportunities.
· Bi-monthly newsletter, Mover's Messenger
· Web site informing members and the public of our mission, commitment to ethics in all business practices and services. Web site includes links to your web sites and other industry sites, such as the AMSA and other state associations.
· Provide members with the latest information on tariff changes/requirements and other state regulatory issues.
· Aggressive recruitment campaign to bring on more members.
· We are working on a new Rights and Responsibilities brochure to be handed out to all local and intra customers in Indiana.
We hope that you will agree that the IHM&W adds value to your business and improves our image with Indiana consumers and state government. Through your membership in the IHM&W, you are adding credibility to your business by upholding the highest business ethics and standards.
Associate Membership
The Associate Membership benefits include: a copy of the annual membership directory with a complimentary "yellow page" listing for Associate members; a discount on convention sponsorship and Mover's Messenger advertising; and a subscription to the Mover's Messenger newsletter.
IHM&W holds its annual convention the first weekend in December each year. Vendor space and sponsorships are available.
You may also advertise your product(s) or service(s) in our bi-monthly newsletter Mover's Messenger or as a banner ad at this website. This publication has a circulation of 120 moving industry companies in Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio and Kentucky. If you advertise for one (1) year, you will get the equivalent of one (1) issue free. The deadline for all advertising is the 1st of the month of publication.

Associate Membership Application
Future Leaders Committee
We're looking for a few good men and women to step up and get more involved with this association. Many of you may recall the Future Leaders Committee in the past, but we have not actively pursued applicants for a couple of years.
The committee is for any man or woman holding a position in an IHM&W member company, who is 45 years of age or younger. You would be invited to attend all Board meetings as a non-voting member. There are approximately eight (8) Board meetings annually, held in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Board would welcome your input in it's decision making process. If you hold a vested interest in the member company you are employed by, that would be very desirable, but not a requirement. Many past "Future Leaders" have gone on to serve on the Board of Directors.
